Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-1 Liverpool

David de Gea – Didn’t really get tested too strenuously. Did the simple things relatively well, though. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Superb to have him back and he was excellent defensively for the most part. Perhaps he could have made a bigger impact in the final third. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Didn’t look great. His nerves got the better of him and he was lucky to get away with a foul on Origi. 4/10

Harry Maguire – He’s a big-game player. Marshalled the back four excellently and led by example. 7/10

Marcos Rojo – Started due to an injury picked up by Axel Tuanzebe. Did well until the Lallana equaliser late on. He was partly at fault. 4/10

Ashley Young – Also at fault for the leveller. Worked hard throughout, particularly for a man aged 34. 4/10

Fred – His struggles continue. The Brazilian just doesn’t have the presence of a man who can control the midfield and dominate a game. 4/10

Andreas Pereira – You know what, he’s not great on the ball but he did bring an energy into the game which did put us on the front foot. 5/10

Scott McTominay – Superb again. Won the midfield battle single-handedly at times and it was super to see. 7/10

Daniel James – Crossed the ball brilliantly for the opener and looked really threatening – particularly on the counter. 7/10

Marcus Rashford – His best performance in a fair while. Scored the first goal of the game and looked a real handful for the Liverpool defenders. Quality stuff. 8/10

Subs:

Anthony Martial – Not enough time to mark.

Brandon Williams – Not enough time to mark.
