Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-1 Swansea City – Woeful Rooney

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about Sigurdsson’s stunning free-kick. Has precious little else to do putting that aside. 6/10

Ashley Young – Worked tirelessly. Got forward when possible, but his final ball was lacking for the most part. 5/10

Eric Bailly – What a warrior. Once again he was absolutely everywhere before he had to be subbed off with an injury. I hope it isn’t serious. 7/10

Daley Blind – Positionally he was pretty good. Struggled against the bigger Fernando Llorente in the air, though. 5/10

Luke Shaw – Subbed off after 10 minutes. Becoming a liability. 4/10

Ander Herrera – Lively but couldn’t drive his teammates forward. 5/10

Michael Carrick – Calm and composed but didn’t really help us when going forward. You expect much more from him when on the ball. 5/10

Jesse Lingard – Made some superb runs throughout. At least he looked like he cared. 6/10

Wayne Rooney – Scored from the spot but honestly, he offered precious little putting that aside. Not good enough. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – Tried and tried but didn’t get the service. Won the penalty, but went down far too easily. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Pretty quiet and gave the ball away far too easily at times. 5/10

Subs:

Antonio Valencia – Once again, one of our best players.

Matteo Darmian – Came on as a make-shift centre-back. Did alright.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – The change was made too late and he didn’t have time to make any impact.
