Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-2 Norwich City – woeful display

David de Gea – As per usual he wasn’t really at fault for anything. 5/10

Ashley Young – Plenty of pace, and the ideas were there. Should have done better for Norwich’s opener. 4/10

Chris Smalling – Could have done better for both Norwich goals. Didn’t look anywhere near to his best. 5/10

Phil Jones – Nice to see him back, but you could tell he was lacking in match sharpness. 4/10

Daley Blind – Played at left-back. Wasn’t really called upon except for corner duties. Fairly quiet. 5/10

Michael Carrick – Defensively he was non-existent. You expect more from him in the passing game, too. 5/10

Marouane Fellaini – Won plenty of aerial duels, but thats about it. 4/10

Memphis Depay – Expect him to go past his man, but he looked scared to do so. 4/10

Juan Mata – Sloppy in possession at times. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Scored his goal, and looked a threat despite being shoved out wide. 6/10

Wayne Rooney – Never looked like scoring, and wasn’t anywhere his best. 5/10

Subs:

Ander Herrera – Brought some spark to the field.
