David de Gea – Didn’t have an awful lot to do throughout. 5/10
Antonio Valencia – Pretty average. I’d like to see him offer something more in an attacking sense. 5/10
Phil Jones – To his credit, he didn’t give Harry Kane a sniff of an opportunity. 7/10
Chris Smalling – Won his aerial duels. If I’m being picky, he could have done better for Dele Alli’s opener. 7/10
Ashley Young – I’m not sure where he was when Christian Eriksen played that super ball in. Aside from that, he was solid. 5/10
Nemanja Matic – Solid. He was looking absolutely exhausted during the dying embers, however. 6/10
Ander Herrera – Earned his start on Wednesday night and was superb again today at Wembley. Scored the winning goal and controlled the second-half. 8/10
Paul Pogba – To win possession back and whip a ball in as accurately as he did was sublime. He’s been outstanding recently and long may it continue. 7/10
Jesse Lingard – Made some nice runs and kept the Spurs back line on their feet. 5/10
Alexis Sanchez – I mean, what more can you ask from him? His attitude is absolutely first-class; hounding Spurs players throughout. His goal was pretty special, too. 9/10
Romelu Lukaku – Led the line brilliantly. His final ball was questionable at times though. 6/10
Subs:
Matteo Darmian – Defended well.
Marcus Rashford – Could have wrapped it up late on.
Marouane Fellaini – Not enough time to mark.
