Player Ratings: Manchester United 3-1 Bournemouth

David de Gea – Untested until right at the death when Smalling turned the ball past him. 6/10

Antonio Valencia – Surprisingly did quite well. Was a real threat down the right and let out a rasping shot from 35-yards out. 7/10

Chris Smalling – Partly at fault for the own goal, but faultless putting that aside. 5/10

Daley Blind – Didn’t really get troubled at all by the Bournemouth attack. 5/10

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson – Put in some excellent crosses, sadly nobody got on the end of them. 6/10

Michael Carrick – Played a few loose passes, and his lack of mobility is alarming. 3/10

Wayne Rooney – His best performance of the season. He bossed the game and more than deserved his goal. 8/10

Jesse Lingard – Drifted in and out of the game. His place in the side for weekend must be under threat. 5/10

Juan Mata – Linked up nicely with his teammates, but didn’t really threaten. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Not his finest performance, but he still threatened. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – This lad is going to be a real star. His pace is brilliant and once again, took his goal brilliantly. 7/10

Subs:

Ander Herrera – At fault for the goal.

Memphis Depay – Didn’t really threaten.

Ashley Young – Took his goal nicely.
