David de Gea – The big Spaniard was really tested, but came up trumps when in a one-on-one situation. Super stop. 7/10
Rafael – It was great to see Rafa back on the pitch and performing well. The young Brazilian offers that defensive stability, plus a superb attacking threat. 8/10
Jonny Evans – Wasn’t really required to defend very often. Kept the ball moving forward though. 6/10
Tyler Blackett – Another solid game for the young Mancunian, he made one mistake which could’ve led to a goal, but another positive performance. 7/10
Marcos Rojo – Excellent debut for the Argentine. He bombed forward time and time again, and looked excellent defensively. 8/10
Daley Blind – Exactly what United’s midfield has needed for years. He completed 107 out of 112 passes, won almost every tackle he went in for and seemed to cover every blade of grass. Man of the Match. 9/10
Ander Herrera – Took his goal superbly, ran with the ball well and kept the ball moving forward. Excellent display. 8/10
Juan Mata – Scored with a super finish, but probably should have had another one. He played well, but often goes missing at times. 7/10
Angel Di Maria – What else can you say other than how privileged we are to be watching this lad week-in week-out. He scored, grabbed an assist and terrorised the QPR back-line all afternoon long. What a player. 9/10
Robin van Persie – Looked slightly sluggish for the majority of the game. His place in the starting XI is certainly in danger next week. 5/10
Wayne Rooney – Looked threatening on occasion. His goal was a superb finish from a tight angle, and he also grabbed an assist for Herrera’s debut goal. 7/10
Subs:
Antonio Valencia – Did ok for half an hour. Lost the ball on occasion.
Radamel Falcao – Had one chance to make it a dream debut but unfortunately didn’t take it. More to come.
Adnan Januzaj – Unfortunate not to score, but should’ve laid one on a plate to Falcao or Van Persie.
