David de Gea – Made some superb saves, and turned into a wonderful sweeper keeper. 7

Antonio Valencia – Should’ve done better for Aguero’s opener, but got better as the game went on. 7

Chris Smalling – Grew into the game. Took his goal superbly and on the whole did well. 7

Phil Jones – Looked nervy, but improved. 6

Daley Blind – Kept Zabaleta silent from minute one. Offered Young a constant outlet on the left. 8

Michael Carrick – He makes United tick. Kept the ball moving forward, and was at the heart of everything good. 8

Ander Herrera – What a class act. Kept United in the driving seat whilst keeping the threat of Silva quiet. 8

Marouane Fellaini – Bossed Yaya Toure from minute one. Won every battle he was involved in and controlled the midfield. 9

Juan Mata – Typical Juan Mata. Kept United in possession and took his goal superbly. 8

Ashley Young – Grabbed a goal and two fantastic assists. Man of the Match. 10

Wayne Rooney – Had a fairly quiet game but worked extremely hard just as you’d expect. 6

Subs:

Marcos Rojo – Did well defensively.

Angel di Maria – Wasn’t afraid to run at the City back line.

Radamel Falcao – Held the ball up well.
