David de Gea – Made some comfortable saves. If I’m being picky, I’d like to see him do better for Sergio Aguero’s goal. 5/10
Ashley Young – Positionally dreadful. Raheem Sterling and Leroy ran rings around him all game. 3/10
Chris Smalling – He was ok, but again, I’d love to see him take control of the back line. Smalling just doesn’t have that capability. 4/10
Victor Lindelof – Didn’t really do anything drastically bad, but that’s about as good as his game was. 3/10
Luke Shaw – Got caught up field a few times, which allowed City to counter. 3/10
Nemanja Matic – Slow, immobile, weak in the challenge, poor in the air. What exactly does he bring? 3/10
Marouane Fellaini – Probably United’s best on the day, although that’s not saying much. 5/10
Ander Herrera – Just awful. He got caught in possession way too often and his passing was shockingly bad. 2/10
Jesse Lingard – Looked like he was still getting back to fitness following injury. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Looked lively in the opening 30 minutes or so, faded from that point forward. 4/10
Anthony Martial – Scored his penalty, but was awful putting that aside. 4/10
Subs:
Alexis Sanchez – Didn’t get into the game.
Romelu Lukaku – Won the penalty, but then went missing for half an hour.
Juan Mata – Didn’t really get a touch.
