Player Ratings: Pogba phenomenal as Man United beat Huddersfield 3-1

David de Gea – Made a ridiculous save midway through the second-half, but was eventually denied of his clean sheet. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – Had a decent afternoon, but should have scored his first Red Devils goal. Dalot can consider himself unlucky to be subbed off so early. 6/10

Phil Jones – Outstanding again. He looked solid, calm, composed and even tried to play out a bit. 7/10

Victor Lindelof – Superb. A real mature display from a player who is enjoying a brilliant season. His willingness to get forward and play tricky passes also means he’s impacting the game from an offensive standpoint. 8/10

Luke Shaw – Bombed forward where possible and defended pretty well. 6/10

Nemanja Matic – Playing like a reborn footballer since Ole Gunnar took charge. That was summed up by Matic getting himself in the box to open the scoring. 7/10

Fred – He’s struggling. Gave the ball away far too often, his passing was sloppy and he got caught in possession frequently. Perhaps he’s just trying too hard. 4/10

Paul Pogba – Had a decent first 45 minutes, but took over the game in the second half and made sure United picked up all three points with two sublime efforts. 9/10

Jesse Lingard – His movement was there, but he couldn’t put the finishing touches on things. 5/10

Juan Mata – Moved well, played the ball forward and looked like he could carve openings quite frequently. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Didn’t score, but on another day could have had a couple. His work ethic is unmatched and his all-round performance was great. All it was missing was a goal. 7/10

Subs:

Ashley Young – Not as offensive as Dalot, but probably better going in the other direction.

Ander Herrera – Did ok, shored up the midfield.

Angel Gomes – Nice to see him get some on-field minutes.
