Player Ratings: PSV 2-1 Manchester United

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about either goal. 6/10

Matteo Darmian – Looked tired at times. Lost the ball for PSV’s second goal. Not his best performance. 5/10

Chris Smalling – Led from the back as we’ve come to expect from him. 6/10

Daley Blind – Provided a nice assist for Memphis from left-back. 6/10

Luke Shaw – Horrific night for the young lad. Subbed off with a double fracture in his leg. His season is over. 6/10

Bastian Schweinsteiger – Started brightly but faded out as the game went on. 5/10

Ander Herrera – Not as effective as he was at the weekend. Went missing at times. 5/10

Memphis Depay – Took his goal wonderfully, but went quiet immediately after. 6/10

Juan Mata – Poor. Started in his favoured #10 role and didn’t do anything of note. 3/10

Ashley Young – Plenty of pace but his delivery lacked any real quality. 6/10

Anthony Martial – The bright spark on a poor night. Full of energy and pace. Made some good runs. 7/10

Subs:

Marcos Rojo – Looked rusty. Struggled to cope with the pace of PSV on the counter.

Antonio Valencia – As one legged as ever.

Marouane Fellaini – Poor.
