Sergio Romero – Did very well in David de Gea’s absence. Made some great saves and distributed brilliantly. 7/10
Matteo Darmian – Started as the right-back and defensively he was excellent. 6/10
Eric Bailly – Aside from a couple of shaky moments he was very calm and composed. 6/10
Marcos Rojo – Not really tested, to be honest. Did what he had to do. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Subbed off after the hour mark with an apparent injury. Credit to him, though, he was superb. 7/10
Marouane Fellaini – Gave the captain’s armband by Mourinho, and he was alright. Didn’t really set the world alight, though. 5/10
Ander Herrera – Very lively, and began to pull the strings as the game wore on. 6/10
Paul Pogba – Drifted in and out of the match in the first 45, bossed it in the second half as the opposition were a man down in midfield. 6/10
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Had a very, very, quiet first half but in the second half he was electric. Scored an absolute stunner. 7/10
Jesse Lingard – Ran the defence ragged for an hour and then was rightfully subbed off. Produced very little in the way of end product. 4/10
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Pretty much mirrored his whole season. Does nothing for 30 minutes and then creates a wonderful goal out of nothing. 7/10
Subs:
Daley Blind – Deputised well for the injured Shaw.
Marcus Rashford – Shown a real turn of pace and finally got his goal! Well done, young man!
Anthony Martial – Injected even more pace into proceedings. Did well.
