Player Ratings: United 0-1 Everton

David de Gea – Made some good saves, but couldn’t do anything about the goal. 6/10

Rafael – It was nice to see Rafael return, if he could’ve lasted for the 90 minutes the result might have been different. 6/10

Chris Smalling – Did alright for the most part. Won many headers and passed the ball forward. 6/10

Nemanja Vidic – Bullied by Lukaku. Outmuscled, outfought and outpaced. One of his poorer games this year. 4/10

Patrice Evra – Struggled going backwards, but bombed forward. Average. 5/10

Marouane Fellaini – Perhaps his best game in a United shirt, although still far from what we expect. Often let his man drift by. 5/10

Ryan Giggs – Nowhere near as effective as his last game. Struggled to cope with Barry and McCarthy in the middle. 5/10

Antonio Valencia – Often overhit his crosses and looked for the pass rather than trying to beat his man. 5/10

Shinji Kagawa – Got his chance in the #10 role and failed to deliver. Struggled to get anything going. 5/10

Danny Welbeck – Had a poor game and found it hard to get on the ball. 4/10

Wayne Rooney – Perhaps his worst game of the season against his boyhood club. Suspended for Newcastle’s visit to Old Trafford on Saturday. 4/10

Subs:

Nani – Tried to make something happen. Beat his man and got in decent positions. 6/10

Adnan Januzaj – Largely ineffective when he came on. Made a couple of decent runs and stung Howard’s hands with a good effort. 5/10

Javier Hernandez – Not enough time to mark.
