Manchester United ran out 3-1 winners in the final home game of what has been a dismal season. Interim manager, Ryan Giggs handed debuts to youngsters Tom Lawrence and James Wilson, who managed to bag 2 goals.
David de Gea: Made a couple of great close range saves but not a lot to do overall. Could do nothing about the Hull goal. 6/10
Antonio Valencia: Started at right back and had a reasonable game. Got forward and defended well. 6/10
Chris Smalling: Solid at the back. 6/10
Phil Jones: Was having a decent start until a shoulder injury forced him off. Replaced by the outgoing Captain, Vidic. 6/10
Alexander Büttner: Got forward throughout but it wasn’t his best game. 5/10
Adnan Januzaj: Excellent! Had the beating of his man all day long. Put in some dangerous crosses and he was a delight to watch. 9/10 – Man of the Match
Michael Carrick: A much more efficient performance from the captain on the night 7/10
Shinji Kagawa: Started in a central midfield for a change and did reasonably well. But didn’t create too much. 6/10
Tom Lawrence: Impressive debut for the young Welshman. Positive and creative down the left hand side, with plenty of confidence on the ball. Replaced by Giggs. 7/10
Marouane Fellaini: Played in a more advanced role like he used to do at Everton, and finally bagged a couple of assists but still managed to have a poor game. 4/10
James Wilson: Another debutant who took his opportunity well, bagging 2 goals with 2 clinical finishes. Replaced by van Persie. 8/10
Substitutes
Nemanja Vidic: Replaced Jones in his last ever appearance as a United player at Old Trafford. Had a good game in his farewell match. 7/10
Robin van Persie: Still on the comeback following injury, and got himself a goal to secure the points. Looked a lot happier in his performance and got some of his swagger back. 7/10
Ryan Giggs: An excellent cameo from our interim manager. Felt strange to have the boss playing, but he was a positive influence on the game. Almost scored with a late free kick from range, much to the disappointment of the crowd, who urged the keeper to let it in. 7/10
fellaini was AMAZING!!! what a great display in the hull penalty area!!! really helped them defensively!!!…. oh wait… hes our player :|
up until this match i have always felt there was a glimmer of hope… but now i see none. his touch is terrible, passing horrific… yh hes got higth but he is such a big fouler hes just plain terrible.
why on earth he was allowed to play in front of kagawa i will never know. kagawa played far too deep and couldnt orchestrate anywhere near as well as he can. janujaz proved he is far better on the wing… more space to run and he is better at cutting in. if you want to run your best of out wide… janujaz is best of out wide!!

Again, the usual 5-7 ratings all round… YAWN! Like I said before, whether we win 10-0 or lose 0-10, these ratings never change. Really poor.
Well what do you suggest as the ratings then??
