Player Ratings: United 4-0 Norwich

Anders Lindegaard – The Dane didn’t have an awful lot to do. He kept Robert Snodgrass out from close range with a decent save. 6/10

Rafael – He was like a winger last night. He kept bombing forward but the ball was often down the left-hand side. He’s returning to full fitness slowly but surely. 6/10

Nemanja Vidic – Back from injury this was the perfect game for him. He gave Yohan Elmander absolutely nothing, and was very dominant in the air. 7/10

Rio Ferdinand – Nearly scored early on with a header back across goal. Solid defensively and he kept the ball moving forward. 6/10

Alex Buttner – Alex Buttner could be knocking on the door for Evra’s regular LB slot after that. He was great going backwards but even better going forward. His cross for Chicharito’s second goal was superb. 7/10

Phil Jones – Scored an excellent volley, linked play up very well and kept the ball moving. An excellent midfield performance. 8/10

Tom Cleverley – Did well. He passed the ball out wide and kept the Norwich midfielders on their toes. 6/10

Wilfried Zaha – Zaha struggled for the most part. He showed glimpses of brilliance but he didn’t get on the ball enough, perhaps due to a lack of match fitness. 5/10

Adnan Januzaj – Bossed the game once again. He pulled the strings from the first minute to the last and absolutely dominated Leroy Fer. He won the penalty that led to the first goal, went on a couple of excellent runs where he beat three or four Norwich defenders. Had a couple of decent shots and certainly deserved a goal. Man of the Match. 8/10

Ashley Young – He had a decent first half but his crossing was extremely poor. 4/10

Javier Hernandez – Scored two poachers goals. One a superb penalty and the other a header at the second attempt. Sounds controversial but right now he’s offering more than RvP with his all-round play and goalscoring. I’d consider giving Chicha a start at the weekend. 8/10

Subs:

Wayne Rooney – Only had 10 minutes on the pitch but managed to pick out Fabio with a wonderful ball that made it 4-0. Not enough time to mark.

Anderson – Not enough time to mark.

Fabio – Not enough time to mark, but scored a super goal with a decent finish in injury time.
