Player Ratings: Wolves 1-1 Man United (Premier League 2019)

David de Gea – Didn’t really have too many saves to make. Couldn’t do anything about the Neves goal. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – This boy oozes class. In the one-on-one situation, I don’t think there’s a better full-back in the country. He’s also pretty good going forward, too. 8/10

Victor Lindelof – Solid. Seems to be improving with a top-class player like Maguire sitting next to him. 6/10

Harry Maguire – Led from the back. Told his teammates where to be and didn’t mind carrying the ball out from defence. 7/10

Luke Shaw – Pretty good. Bombed forward where possible and looked positionally sound. Had some trouble with Adama Traore’s pace, but that’s to be expected. 6/10

Scott McTominay – Won back possession and kept things ticking over nicely. 6/10

Paul Pogba – We saw both sides of Pogba tonight. The work he did to win the penalty was outrageously good, but his passing was sloppy and the penalty itself was pretty poor. Never really recovered from that. 6/10

Jesse Lingard – He made some nice runs but had a couple of golden opportunities to at least work the goalkeeper. You need to see more from him. 4/10

Daniel James – Started sluggishly but in the second half he looked a real threat. I’d like to see better decision-making when it comes to that final ball. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Had a brilliant first 45 minutes but faded in the second half. 6/10

Anthony Martial – Lethal. Give him a chance and he’ll score. He seems to be working much harder too. 8/10

Subs:

Juan Mata – Didn’t really get into the game.

Mason Greenwood – Not enough time to mark.

Andreas Pereira – Not enough time to mark.
