Manchester United Football Club have been without their midfield talisman Paul Pogba for the season’s majority.
The 26-year-old has only played in a handful of games this term, as his future at Old Trafford remains up in the air.
However, today, the Manchester Evening News have offered us a major Pogba injury boost. Apparently, the United star is doing additional sessions ahead of an expected return to full training this week.
The MEN ‘understands’ that Pogba has been staying later at Carrington to work on his recovery, as the Frenchman looks to get himself back fit for the all-important run-in.
With the Reds still fighting it out in three different competitions, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs all the bodies he can get. It goes without saying that Pogba is an exceptionally gifted footballer, whatever us fans may think of him…
He’d only boost our chances at securing Champions League football for next season, that much is obvious. Yes, he’s no longer my cup of tea, but imagine the link-up between him and Bruno Fernandes? That’s pretty exciting…
Hopefully, Pogba is feeling good. Yes, it’ll probably take him another few weeks to get back into game-shape, but by that point, United could be in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and quarter-finals of the Europa League. Surely he’d love to be involved in that?
The cynic in me firmly believes he’s only getting himself back in order to ensure his place in France’s EURO 2020 squad, but you know what, if he helps our cause then fair play…
