Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane have shown off the latest piece of silverware they’ve won.
Manchester United are a club with a proud history and tradition of winning trophies. Sadly, we’re yet to line the cabinet further under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign – however, some of our players have been busy earning more winners medals this international break.
Three first-teamers, in fact, have won the Nations League. France beat Spain last night to win the second edition of the tournament, led by none other than Paul Pogba.
Our midfield maestro was exceptional for his county, while Raphael Varane also started that game before being subbed off with an unfortunate injury. Anthony Martial was the third player in the squad – and what a moment it was for him too.
Anyway, Pogba & Varane were spotted showing off their medals on the way back to Manchester this afternoon, with the pair gearing up for a huge game against Leicester City this weekend.

As of right now, Varane’s availability for that game looks bleak. If it is indeed a grade one groin strain, the centre-back is set to be missing for at least a week. I just wouldn’t see Solskjaer taking that risk even if Varane says he’s good to go.
The good news is that Pogba will be ready to play and he’ll be in great spirits following this accolade. He was the best player on the pitch on Sunday evening, now, he has six days to rest up and get prepared for this one against Leicester.
It’s always good to see United players winning trophies. At the very least, it instils a confidence and belief in these players, while the winning mentality should carry over between country and club.
