Manchester United have been given a major injury boost, before pre-season gets underway in a couple of weeks time.
The Sun say that Diogo Dalot has come off his crutches for the first time, following an injury that he picked up at the back end of last season.
Although struggling, Dalot was still able to complete all his medical checks to join United, but now, this news means he’ll be able to train with his new teammates, and hopefully play in a game or two of the Red Devils’ USA Tour.
First and foremost, this is highly important to the player. As the old saying goes, you want to start as you mean to go on. If he moved to United injury-ridden, it would have been tough for him to make an impact.
At least now he’s clear to prepare for the new season starting. There is no doubt he’ll be doing all he can to put pressure on both full-backs as he looks to force his way into the team. From what I’ve seen, he’s a confident young man, so don’t bet against him impressing this year, and potentially forcing his way into Mourinho’s starting line-up on a regular basis.
