For Manchester United, 2020 starts with a bang. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping for big things in the new year with the Premier League top four now in sight.
The Baby Faced Assassin has endured a topsy-turvy start to the season though recently, the proof has been in the pudding. Results and performances have been better, though it’s all for nothing unless United kick on and put real pressure on Chelsea in fourth.
Away days at Arsenal have been relatively successful for the 20-time Premier League winners of late. Let’s hope that trend continues but for now, we’ll dive right into our predicted Man United starting XI vs Arsenal:
David de Gea will obviously start in goal. The Spaniard will be expecting a busy afternoon with Mikel Arteta sure to get his players fired up for this one.
The now customary back two of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will continue. They’ll be feeling confident fresh off their clean sheet away at Burnley. Luke Shaw comes back into the team at left-back, as does Aaron Wan-Bissaka over on the right.
Nemanja Matic will play in Scott McTominay’s injury absence. Fred was great last time out and we’ll need a similar performance from him again. Andreas Pereira completes the midfield three.
Anthony Martial is in sublime form at the moment so he’ll obviously lead the line once again. Marcus Rashford is another who’s on fire, while Daniel James completes the team.
