Predicted Man United XI vs Burnley (away, Premier League 2019)

For Manchester United Football Club, the games are starting to come thick and fast over the hectic winter period. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side needs to start moving up the table if they’re to seriously challenge for a spot in the top four.

Injuries haven’t helped, though what does play into the Red Devils’ hands is that this squad is a young, energetic one. These players can perform at high levels on the back of a quick turnaround.

We have to expect at least a few changes, mind, as the Baby Faced Assassin tinkers his tactics and plays the best team possible against a spirited Burnley side tomorrow evening. With that in mind, let’s get right into our predicted Man United XI for this one…

David de Gea will obviously continue in between the sticks. A couple of mistakes doesn’t change the fact that he’s still amongst the best goalkeepers in the business.

Brandon Williams will be feeling fresh and he’ll come into the team as the left-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue as the starting right-sided defender. Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire is the now-customary centre-back partnership. Why break that up if you don’t have to?

Nemanja Matic sits at the base of the midfield here, as Scott McTominay will almost certainly miss this one through injury. Fred will play, with Paul Pogba making his first start in about three months.

Anthony Martial is looking in good form right now so he’ll lead the line. Daniel James returns to the right-wing slot with Marcus Rashford completing the line-up.
