Manchester United Football Club have been better over the last few weeks, as the Red Devils look to put pressure on the top-four and force their way into next season’s Champions League.
For now, though, it’s all about the Europa League. The Old Trafford outfit host Club Brugge in their last 32 second leg on Thursday night, with a place in the last sixteen at stake.
Ahead of the game, rotation is undoubtedly on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s mind. Changes will be made, make no mistake about that. However, perhaps we’ll see less tinkering than we saw for the first leg which ended 1-1.
For now, though, let’s delve right into our predicted Man United XI vs Club Brugge:
Sergio Romero made a huge error in the first fixture, but it was uncharacteristic. He deserves to keep his place in between the sticks for this one.
Brandon Williams didn’t play at the weekend so he’ll be good to go here. Diogo Dalot will start opposite. Harry Maguire has been superb recently so he’ll play. This is the perfect opportunity to give more minutes to Eric Bailly, too.
The game probably comes too soon to give Scott McTominay a start, so Nemanja Matic will get the nod at the base of midfield. Andreas Pereira will play, fresh off of being dropped from the squad against Watford. Fred completes the midfield.
Odion Ighao will come into the team for a first start, with Jesse Lingard playing on the left and Juan Mata on the right.
Again, if there’s not enough quality to get the job done, ample reinforcements will be readily available from of the subs bench.
