Predicted Man United XI vs Everton (Premier League 2020, away)

Manchester United have been putting some serious pressure on Chelsea who’s sitting in fourth place at the moment. The race for the Champions League football is well and truly on, with the Old Trafford outfit suddenly looking like a serious contender.

Credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for that, with the Baby Faced Assassin definitely making that United dressing room a much happier camp over the last month or so.

The games are now starting to come thick and fast due to participation in three different competitions, though the focus remains on the Premier League. This weekend, United head to Merseyside to take on an in-form Everton side who are also shooting up the table under Carlo Ancelotti.

Anyway, ahead of the key clash, let’s get right into our predicted Man United XI vs Everton:

David de Gea will start in between the sticks after getting the midweek off. No doubt he’ll be heavily tested here.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will play in the right-back slot. He’ll be tasked with keeping Richarlison and co. quiet down his side. Luke Shaw’s form has drastically improved recently. It’s only fair he keeps his place in the team. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will play as the centre-back partnership.

Nemanja Matic will sit at the base of midfield, as I’d be surprised to see Solskjaer throw Scot McTominay straight into another game. Fred, who scored a brace against Club Brugge, will be feeling confident ahead of this one. The magician that is Bruno Fernandes also starts.

I fear Anthony Martial won’t be fit enough to start here, so Odion Ighalo keeps his place in the side. Daniel James will make an appearance starting on the left, with Mason Greenwood playing from off the right.
