Predicted Man United XI vs Leicester City (Premier League 2019)

Manchester United return (finally) after a two-week hiatus thanks to the international break.

Before domestic duty ended, the problems began to mount for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United’s results weren’t desireable while the injury issues started to build.

Things don’t get any easier upon return to action, either. United’s September is jam-packed with tricky fixtures, starting with the visit of Leicester City. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the starting line-up we think the Reds will go for:

Predicted Man United XI vs Leicester City:

Despite a few mistakes recently, David de Gea will keep his place in goal as he’s still by far and away our best option.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be fine after a back injury, with Ashley Young continuing to play as the left-back due to Luke Shaw’s hamstring problem. Harry Maguire will obviously play, while I think Axel Tuanzebe could come into the team for his first start of the season – playing instead of the struggling Victor Lindelof.

Paul Pogba is another who has been nursing injury but he’ll be fit to get the nod ahead of Fred. Scott McTominay has been excellent in the opening month of the season. He’ll continue to play.

Daniel James has done his best work from off the left flank, so let’s put him in the position to succeed. It’ll be Marcus Rashford who will move over to the right with Juan Mata playing in that #10 role ahead of Jesse Lingard. Anthony Martial should be ready to go after missing Southampton away.
