Predicted Man United XI vs Liverpool (Premier League, 2019)

Manchester United have a real chance to send out a message to the Premier League this weekend, as the Red Devils host Liverpool in a huge encounter.

A win would do Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and that whole dressing room the world of good, though it goes without saying that’s easier said than done – particularly when you factor in the horrendous injuries that are decimating the squad at the moment.

Anyway, let’s delve right into the predicted starting XI for the game vs Liverpool:

David de Gea is out injured so Sergio Romero comes into the team as a more than capable back-up.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to return in the right-back slot, giving the Reds defence a much-needed boost. Ashley Young shifts back over to the left, though Luke Shaw could push him hard for a start. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof play as the centre-back pairing.

Scott McTominay starts in the defensive-midfield role while Andreas Pereira will play once again. Juan Mata’s creativity is the best possible option to replace Paul Pogba in the attacking midfield role.

Anthony Martial needs to be rushed back into the starting line-up to give United another dimension. That leaves Marcus Rashford and Daniel James on the flanks. Perhaps look for the trio to utilise their speed on the counter.
