Predicted Man United XI vs Man City (Premier League home, 2020)

Manchester United have been in brilliant form of late, which has bought them a chance to end the day in the Premier League’s top four (providing another result goes their way).

Credit where it’s due, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned our fortunes around, largely due to the addition of Bruno Fernandes who has absolutely revolutionised this squad in a matter of weeks.

Today’s game against Manchester City is going to be extremely tough. In fact, United have fared better away from home in this fixture over recent seasons. However, based on recent form, you have to feel somewhat confident…

With that in mind, let’s delve right into our predicted Man United XI vs Man City here:

We’ve gone for the 5-3-2, which has worked pretty well for the Baby Faced Assassin recently. David de Gea will start in between the sticks despite his mistake last weekend. He’ll be expecting a busy afternoon.

There was doubts about Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s availability, likewise Harry Maguire. However, I feel both will make it and be ready to play here. Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw complete the back five.

It’d be easy to throw Scott McTominay into the team here, though I feel Nemanja Matic will get the nod instead. Fred and Bruno Fernandes will have to be at their absolute best.

The front two pretty much picks itself given Marcus Rashford and Daniel James’ injuries. Anthony Martial was always going to start here, while Mason Greenwood will be given his opportunity to shine.
