Predicted Man United XI vs Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League away, 2020/21)

For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s time for revenge. Let’s get right into the all-important team news with our predicted Man United XI vs Spurs.

That 6-1 defeat at home still hurts. Manchester United have a chance to avenge that this weekend, while closing the gap slightly on Manchester City in first.

Tottenham Hotspur have endured a mixed season under Jose Mourinho, while for the Baby Faced Assassin, he’s improving this team month-by-month. A win here would cement our place as the best of the rest, that’s for sure.

With one eye on the second leg against Granada in midweek, we may well see a couple of enforced changes here. At the end of the day, the gaffer has a responsibility to keep these players fit. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Check out the predicted Man United XI vs Spurs in full:

Dean Henderson is now Manchester United’s undisputed number one and no doubt he’ll have a tricky afternoon against his England teammate, Harry Kane.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has started game-in-game-out for months now and that’s not going to change this weekend. Luke Shaw, who is suspended for the second-leg against Granada, is included. Harry Maguire is also banned for that match so it was an easy decision to make to start him here. I’ve gone for Axel Tuanzebe for two reasons. First and foremost, we need to keep Victor Lindelof ready for Thursday, while Tuanzebe needs the minutes as he may well start in the Europa League too.

Nemanja Matic gets the nod due to his experience and tactical nous. Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes just love playing football whenever they’re available so I don’t see either of them missing out here.

Edinson Cavani needs a goal to kickstart his season so he’ll be chomping at the bit to start this one as the main striker. The early word is that Marcus Rashford has been passed fit and will start, though I’ll be surprised if he completes the 90 minutes. Daniel James completes the starting line-up.
