It’s time for the biggest fixture in English football. Ahead of the game, let’s get right into our predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool.
Well, the Premier League title race may now be officially over, though watching Liverpool fans fume as Manchester United played a weakened team against Leicester City was pretty amusing.
It’s funny, the so-called ‘greatest team the Premier League has ever seen’, has resorted to expecting United to do their dirty work for them. Ha. No doubt they’ll be equally as mad when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer names his strongest possible starting line-up for this one.
Win this and Liverpool’s hopes take a massive blow. If that’s not an incentive, I don’t know what is! It’s always nice to get one over on the old enemy – providing the game goes ahead, of course, as again there’s talk of protests…
Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.
Check out our predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool in full here:
Dean Henderson comes back into the side for his first taste of action in a Premier League game against Liverpool.
Luke Shaw gets the nod in the left-back position, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka starting over on the right-hand side of defence. This feels like a Victor Lindelof game, though picking his partner was tough. I’ve gone for Axel Tuanzebe, as he was better than Eric Bailly in the game on Tuesday.
The midfield will be given a complete refresh, with Scott McTominay sitting at the base, Bruno Fernandes in the advanced spot and Fred playing somewhere in between the two.
Edinson Cavani gets his deserved start here, with Paul Pogba playing in that now-customary left-hand side of the attack role. Marcus Rashford will switch over to the right, though as per usual, these two can interchange.
Up the Reds!
