With games coming thick and fast, for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s about managing his squad. It’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs Sheffield United.
By the time this one kicks off, the 20-time Premier League champions will probably find themselves in second place. That alone should be all the motivation this squad needs to gear themselves up to take on Sheffield United.
The Blades sit bottom of the table, though their performances have been pretty good and their five points feels like a false position. Make no mistake about it, this is a good team who’ll trouble anyone on their day.
It’s up to Solskjaer and these United players to go out there and get the job done. Over recent weeks, we’ve limped over the line in these sort of fixtures. How nice would it be to get an early goal here? Before scoring a few more and sending out a real message to our title rivals.
I imagine we’ll see at least a few changes made by the gaffer here, so let’s get right into it…
Predicted Man Utd XI vs Sheffield United:

David de Gea does start in between the sticks, with Dean Henderson dropping back to the bench after his game against Liverpool at the weekend.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue to start, though I do worry about the lack of any real replacement for our right-back. This feels like a great opportunity to get Alex Telles back into the mix. Harry Maguire will be involved, with Eric Bailly returning to the XI.
Nemanja Matic will be feeling fit and fresh with this game likely earmarked as one he was always going to start. Fred is included in Paul Pogba’s place, while Bruno Fernandes was always going to start this one.
Edinson Cavani has done more than enough to earn himself another start in a Premier League game. Anthony Martial is the enforced change. I’d be surprised if Marcus Rashford is risked here. Mason Greenwood completes the front three.
