Predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham (FA Cup, 2020/21)

Attentions now turn to FA Cup action, with our predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham now in…

After that demoralising result on Saturday night, Manchester United’s best chance at silverware undoubtedly lies in the FA Cup. Unfortunately, an eight-point gap looks too-big-of-a-difference to turn around at this point.

Our FA Cup fifth round draw could have been kinder, too. Games against West Ham are never easy, with David Moyes’ side playing some great stuff at this point in time.

We should expect a tight-knit, tricky affair, though I’d also imagine we’ll see changes made to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI as he also has a responsibility to keep players fit.

It’s about getting that balance right, though as we’ve seen before, making changes often disrupts the rhythm and flow of our play. Hopefully, we see a strong, fluid side take to the Old Trafford turf tomorrow night. This is the team we believe our gaffer will go with…

Predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham in full:

It makes sense to give Dean Henderson the start here for multiple reasons. The Englishman needs his minutes, plus David de Gea struggled last time out.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will get the nod at right-back as per usual, with Alex Telles coming into the team over on the left-hand side of defence. Harry Maguire will continue to start alongside Victor Lindelof as unfortunately, I don’t think Eric Bailly will be risked here.

Nemanja Matic needs the minutes and this feels like the ideal time to switch him in for Scott McTominay. Fred will bring the energy to the midfield, while Bruno Fernandes starts whenever fit.

Anthony Martial will likely come into the XI in Edinson Cavani’s place, with Mason Greenwood also involved from the off following an excellent display vs Everton. Marcus Rashford starts on the left-wing.
