The Red Devils have a chance to move within two points off first place with a win tomorrow evening. Ahead of that, it’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to make it three league wins in a row, despite the Reds losing to PSG in Europe last time out. Go to a tough away ground like West Ham’s and scoop all three points and suddenly, people will start to take us seriously.
David Moyes won’t make that easy on us, though. West Ham have been in stellar form and stopping them is going to be an uphill battle. It’s up to Solskjaer to outwit and outthink his opposite number, while the players have to perform to their expectations.
In terms of injuries, Luke Shaw is unavailable, as is Phil Jones. Aside from that, the gaffer has practically a fully-fit squad to choose from. Simply put, there are no excuses to not go out there and show everyone why we should be considered as title challengers this season.
With that in mind, let’s get right int the all-important team news…
Predicted Man Utd XI vs West Ham in full:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks, after overcoming injury and playing a full 90 minutes against PSG on Tuesday evening.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will start at right-back, while he’ll be tasked with stopping an in-form West Ham attack. Over on the opposite flank, Alex Telles will be looking to get forward wherever possible. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof make up the now customary centre-back partnership.
Nemanja Matic will play, sitting at the base of our midfield. Donny van de Beek will bring the energy, precision and cleverness that links together the whole team. Bruno Fernandes also starts.
Edinson Cavani will make his first Premier League start and rightly so, too. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford will be on his right and left respectively.
If needs be, there’s plenty of quality on the substitutes bench for the manager to call upon. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t come to that!
