Well, here we are. It’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool, with the Red Devils looking to keep their place atop the table.
Win this and we’ll carve out a six-point lead over our Merseyside rivals with equal games played. Honestly, if I were Ole Gunnar Solskjaer I’d make that my team talk.
If you need motivating for the greatest fixture in English football then this sport simply isn’t for you. Tackles will be flying in, emotions will be high, as will tension. It’s up to this Manchester United side to show us all just how far they’ve come by putting in a top performance here.
Sure, that’s easier said than done but the squad is looking in pretty good health. Touchwood Anthony Martial is passed fit enough to be involved here.

Predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool in full:
David de Gea obviously starts here. The superstar Spaniard will have to be at his absolute best to stop the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, in what I suspect will be a more defensive role than an offensive one. Luke Shaw has been excellent recently so he’ll continue. Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly seems like the perfect defensive partnership. No doubt they’ll be busy this weekend.
Scott McTominay loves a big game and his energy could be vital in this one. The same goes for Fred, who plays on the right-hand side of a diamond. I actually think Paul Pogba is better playing just off the left so this system should suit him perfectly. Bruno Fernandes will be down as the traditional #10, though he’ll drift all over the field.
Liverpool’s defence is shaky at the moment. We have to exploit that and look to put the pressure on. I reckon the combination of Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani will do exactly that.
If we need goals, we’ll have Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial off the substitutes bench. The likes of Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles and Daniel James will be able to be called upon, too…
