Our predicted MUFC XI for the home game vs Arsenal is now in, with the Red Devils naming a strong side here…
Manchester United Football Club have won three on the spin, gradually dragging themselves up the Premier League table after what can only be described as an awful start.
Erik ten Hag and his squad deserve credit for showing mental toughness. In years gone by, the squad would have wilted under the intense pressure.
The games start to come thick and fast now, with the cup competitions starting up over the next couple of weeks. Before then, though, Arsenal come to town.
Mikel Arteta’s men sit atop the table, currently unbeaten. A United win here would send out a clear message. No doubt Old Trafford will be absolutely rocking come 4:30 this afternoon.
Anyway, ahead of the game, the all-important team news is now in, so let’s give you the full run-down.
Check out the predicted MUFC XI vs Arsenal in full here:
David de Gea is always going to start in between the sticks when fit this season, unless Martin Dubravka can prove himself over the next nine months or so…
It feels like it has been an age since United have had a steady back four. Maybe, just maybe, the Red Devils are onto something here. Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia have all been super impressive over the last three matches. That run will hopefully continue this afternoon.
Casemiro is yet to make his first start for the 20-time Premier League Champions, though today could be the perfect moment to throw him in there and bring all his experience to the mix. He’ll partner Christian Eriksen, with Bruno Fernandes starting (and captaining) United a little further up the pitch.
Jadon Sancho scored the sole goal against Leicester City on Thursday night, with the Englishman now finding his groove. Marcus Rashford will move to a more familiar left-wing position, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line.
