Predicted MUFC XI vs Aston Villa (Premier League home, 2021/22)

After much deliberating, our predicted MUFC XI for our game vs Aston Villa this weekend is now in…

Manchester United Football Club have been pretty poor in regards to the start of their cup campaigns. However, this weekend, attention turns back to the bread and butter that is the Premier League.

Aston Villa will be welcomed to Old Trafford this Saturday lunchtime, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoping his side can set the pace and take sole charge at the top of the table with a victory here.

This game is not going to be easy, even without Jack Grealish no longer playing for Villa. They’re a great team who carry a threat when they’re fully at it, so we’ll have to be at our best.

The good news is that Solskjaer completely rested his line-up in midweek, so our guys should be feeling fit, fresh and ready to go. Anyway, let’s get right into it…

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Aston Villa in full here:

David de Gea obviously comes back into the side, although it was great to see Dean Henderson back in between the sticks in midweek.

The back four looks completely new, with Luke Shaw starting in the left-back position. Over on the right, Aaron Wan-Bissaka keeps his place in the XI. Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane make up the back line.

Scott McTominay’s mobility and tenacity is key to this side, so it’s good to have him back for this one. Fred will play, as will Bruno Fernandes, which is the now customary midfield trio.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had the best part of a week off so he’ll be feeling positive about his chances of scoring again here. Mason Greenwood has arguably been our best player to start this season, while Paul Pogba continues in his new left-wing position.

I’d like to think we have more than enough quality to get all three points here.
