Our predicted MUFC XI for the pre-season tour game vs Borussia Dortmund is now in, with Erik ten Hag going for a strong side.
Manchester United will want to bounce back after their last pre-season game. Their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid was an eye-opener for Erik ten Hag and his players, highlighting that there is still plenty of work to do.
The games are coming thick and fast at this stage. Next up, Borussia Dortmund; another stern test for the Red Devils. The German side pushed Bayern Munich all the way in the Bundesliga last season, showcasing their skill and ability.
Ten Hag will want to ensure that even the minor details are worked on, as he looks to get the absolute maximum out of this talented squad that he is building.
This is another fixture where I expect the Dutchman to name a strong starting line-up, with changes to follow in the second half of the fixture.
Check out the predicted MUFC XI in full here:
Andre Onana needs these minutes. The man from Cameroon is still learning to play with his new teammates, so United will want to get him out there to see what he can do.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka seems to have forced himself into the team as the first-choice right-back right now. Credit where it’s due. Over on the left, Luke Shaw gets the nod. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are the best partnership the Reds have at the back. They will continue.
Casemiro plays at the heart of midfield, alongside new signing Mason Mount. This duo will work hard, on both sides of the ball. Bruno Fernandes completes the trio.
Marcus Rashford will lead the line. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Alejandro Garnacho. This is the area where you’re not really sure what United will get, due to inconsistency.
