Predicted MUFC XI vs Brentford (Premier League away, 2022/23)

Our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Brentford this weekend is now in…

Manchester United will need to bounce back in emphatic fashion this weekend. Though it will not be easy against an impressive Brentford side.

Erik ten Hag is probably already feeling the pressure, though that hasn’t been helped by a lack of signings delivered to him by the powers that be.

All the good work done in pre-season feels like it has been undone, though a victory here would absolutely restore some confidence. The problem? This game suddenly feels much tougher than it did a week ago…

In terms of team news, I think it’s safe to assume Anthony Martial is still absent. He wasn’t spotted by us on the training photos released by the club on Wednesday evening, so I’d be surprised if we see him.

Anyway, after much deliberating, our predicted line-up for the second Premier League game of the season is now here.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Brentford in full here:

David de Gea was pretty underwhelming with the ball at feet last weekend, but he’s the only option so the Spaniard will start again.

One change has been made to the back four. I really believe Tyrell Malacia is the better fit for this style of play, so let’s see what he can do. Diogo Dalot keeps his place at right-back, while Harry Maguire partners Lisandro Martinez.

Fred does start after his horror show last time out. Though Christian Eriksen will partner him in that deeper midfield position. Bruno Fernandes plays in the number ten slot.

Cristiano Ronaldo will likely start. He’s had another full week of training under his belt and a behind-closed-doors friendly was played on Tuesday. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford will start on his right and left respectively.

  1. If Man.Utd got the chance to buy the Player Tammy Abraham, he is good target for them to grab this opportunity and get the deal done. No more excuses for the Glazers.
Really he is an excellent player.
