Our predicted MUFC XI for the FA Cup semi-final vs Brighton is now in…

Manchester United were dumped out of the Europa League on Thursday, though they have chance for redemption this Sunday. Brighton are the opponents in a huge FA Cup semi-final match.

It goes without saying, this is going to be a tough game against an in-form side who have impressed all season long. I’d argue Brighton are a more difficult opponent than Sevilla, who pummelled us 3-0 just a few days ago.

This is a real test of the mentality within that United squad. Bounce back and book a place in an FA Cup final against Manchester City. What a mouthwatering prospect that’d be!

Some lads come into this one injured, with the squad looking thin on the ground in some areas. That said, the XI we think Ten Hag will name still looks strong. So let’s give you the full rundown.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Brighton in full here:

David de Gea will remain in between the sticks after his midweek horror show, purely because United’s other options aren’t all that appealing…

The back four is intriguing. Due to injuries and suspensions, this is a tough one. We’ve gone for Diogo Dalot at right-back, with Tyrell Malacia starting at left-back. Luke Shaw will shift to the middle alongside Victor Lindelof. Your guess is as good as mine as to how this will hold up against a side who are great in attack…

Casemiro being available is a huge plus. He’ll start alongside another experienced midfielder in the form of Christian Eriksen. A fully fit and rested Bruno Fernandes will go out on the Wembley turf with a point to prove here.

Anthony Martial is injured (shock, horror!), so Wout Weghorst will likely start. Antony was the only positive from the game on Thursday night so he absolutely deserves the opportunity to play here, with Marcus Rashford coming into the team in place of Jadon Sancho.

Come on, Reds!
