Predicted MUFC XI vs Brighton (Premier League home, 2021/22)

Our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Brighton is now in…

Manchester United’s form over the last week has been pretty poor. The Old Trafford club have performed well in the first 45 minutes of matches, but second halves, in particular, have been a major struggle.

Whether it’s due to the players running out of steam, or a lack of confidence due to conceding so many second-half goals remains to be seen. However, it’s an issue that United have to fix quickly if they stand any chance at finishing this season inside the top four.

Next up is another home game. This time against Brighton & Hove Albion. Graham Potter’s side plays some lovely stuff so yet again, the Red Devils will have to bring their A-game. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news…

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Brighton in full here:

David de Gea obviously starts in between the sticks, despite some questionable distribution at the weekend.

Diogo Dalot has been decent recently, nothing more. However, he should keep his place in the side as he fits these tactics better. Luke Shaw is another who’ll play here despite being sub-par. Raphael Varane will continue to start, with Victor Lindelof making up the back four.

I’ve gone for the fit-again Fred in that holding midfield role, giving Scott McTominay one game off. Bruno Fernandes always starts when fit due to his ability to create something out of nothing, while Paul Pogba’s form means he’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

Cristiano Ronaldo starts, by default. He’ll be the first to admit his struggles have been real, but what are the other options? To his right and left is Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho respectively.

Let’s hope we can win this one comfortably…
