Our predicted MUFC XI for the first leg against FC Barcelona is now in.
Manchester United eventually finished up as group runners-up in their Europa League campaign before the new year, meaning an extra round has to be played by the Red Devils.
That draw wasn’t particularly kind to the Old Trafford side, being pitted against FC Barcelona over two legs. The first of which takes place in the Camp Nou tomorrow evening.
These are the matches that both the players and fans live for. It’s a classic encounter between two European giants. No doubt it’ll be a closely-contested battle.
Erik ten Hag has a couple of suspensions to deal with for this one, as Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez are unavailable. He’s also dealing with some injury issues.
Anyway, it’s time for our predicted line-up for this clash, so let’s get right into it.

David de Gea does start in between the sticks, with the superstar Spaniard looking to continue his good form on his return to his homeland.
Diogo Dalot is now working his way back to fitness, with the Portugal international hoping to put on a good showing here. Tyrell Malacia plays at left-back, with Luke Shaw once again switching into the centre-back position. Raphael Varane makes up the back four.
Casemiro is available to play here, with the Brazilian hopefully feeling fit and fresh. This is going to be a tough game for him, but I’m sure he’s up to the task. Fred is the only realistic option to partner Case, with Bruno Fernandes also playing.
Wout Weghorst offers United a genuine presence up top – and that could be needed here. To his right and left respectively is the English duo of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
