Our predicted MUFC XI for the 2024/25 Premier League opener vs Fulham is now in.
Well, here we go again! Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign with a home game against Fulham, under the Old Trafford floodlights on Friday night.
The Red Devils will be hoping to get off to a positive start, reaffirming the belief that this squad is fully behind Erik ten Hag going into the new campaign.
Fulham represent difficult opponents, and a side that typically play United very close. This will be another hard-fought game, though the Red Devils should be favourites in front of their home crowd.
Picking the line-up for this one has been incredibly difficult, though without further ado, we present to you our first predicted XI of the season.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Fulham in full here:
Andre Onanad does start in between the sticks, with the man from Cameroon looking to start off with a clean sheet.
Diogo Dalot plays at right-back, with summer signing Nossair Mazraoui coming straight into the team on the left. Lisandro Martinez moves back to centre-half, partnering Matthijs de Ligt. The two new boys are being thrown straight into the fire, but I believe they have what it takes.
Casemiro’s best game of pre-season came against Manchester City last weekend so I believe he’ll take confidence from that. Kobbie Mainoo is included from the off, with Mason Mount completing the midfield trio.
Amad was the pre-season star of the show so it makes sense to keep the faith with him. Alejandro Garnacho starts over on the left, with Bruno Fernandes getting the nod in that false nine position.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee and Antony head what will be a stacked substitutes bench – even despite all the recent injuries.
Come on you Reds!
