Predicted MUFC XI vs Leeds United (Premier League away, 2021/22)

Our predicted MUFC XI vs Leeds United is now in…

Manchester United picked up a badly-needed three points in midweek against Brighton & Hove Albion, with the games coming thick and fast at this point in time.

Stringing a run of wins together right now could be key to us finishing in the top four this season. Next up, a game against the old enemy, Leeds United.

Ahead of this one, United have been given a double injury boost with Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani back in training. We believe only one of them will start on Sunday, mind.

These games require energy, fight, commitment to the cause and a high level of play. Leeds United will be a stern test, particularly on their own turf. Let’s hope we can go out there and play our best. Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Leeds United in full here:

David de Gea obviously keeps his place in between the sticks, for a game where he’ll be heavily tested throughout.

Diogo Dalot plays at right-back ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, though he’ll have to be at his best defensively. Luke Shaw will start on the left-hand side of defence. Harry Maguire will keep his place in the side, with Raphael Varane coming into the XI following illness.

Scott McTominay feels like Ralf Rangnick’s first-choice in that holding midfield role, while Bruno Fernandes always plays when fit. Paul Pogba was given some rest in midweek but he’ll come back into the starting line-up for this one.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line as per usual, with Jadon Sancho to one side and Marcus Rashford on the other. This front three pretty much picks itself right now, allowing them all to find some consistency.
