Predicted MUFC XI vs Liverpool (Premier League away, 2021/22)

Our predicted MUFC XI for our game vs Liverpool is now in…

Well, Manchester United have been totally out of trophy contention for at least a few weeks now, with the Red Devils trying to make a late push to finish in the top four.

Based on our performances, it’s definitely a long shot for us to achieve that goal and somehow force our way into next season’s Champions League. Beating Liverpool could be the perfect momentum builder, though that’s obviously easier said than done.

Our scouse rivals are in cracking form, but in terms of motivation, United have plenty. Not only can we propel ourselves back into the top four conversation, but also derail their title bid.

On paper, this is a tough game for us, but if we can play to our capabilities, perhaps we have some sort of slim chance? Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Liverpool in full here:

David de Gea will start in between the sticks for the Reds, with the Spaniard no doubt in for a tough afternoon.

Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles do not fill me with confidence as our starting full-backs. Though they’re our best options at this point in time. With Raphael Varane still out, the onus is on both Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire to step up to the plate.

Nemanja Matic wasn’t started at the weekend and I have a feeling that’s because Ralf Rangnick fully intends to give him the start here. Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba will both play. Both will have to be far more productive than they were last time out.

Cristiano Ronaldo loves these big games. No doubt he’ll be in the mood to cause the upset here. To his right, Marcus Rashford starts, with Jadon Sancho completing the XI.
