Man United meet Man City in the FA Cup final for back-to-back seasons. Here is our predicted Reds side for the encounter…
Manchester United Football Club are gearing up for their final game of the season – and it’s a rather large one…
The Old Trafford side head South to take on Manchester City at Wembley Stadium, looking to deny Pep Guardiola and his side back-to-back victories in this fixture over the last couple of campaigns.
Winning will not be easy. Ahead of the game, there has been mixed injury news. Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount are all fit and able to return, though United have lost Harry Maguire here.
It may well be Ten Hag’s last game in charge, too, so he would love to leave on a high if that’s the case. Who knows, a victory here could well save his job…
Anyway, let’s give you the full run down of the starting line-up for this one.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Man City in full here:
Andre Onana will start in between the sticks as per usual, with the man from Cameroon set for a busy afternoon…
Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof will start at centre-half. Obviously, this is a massive risk. The pair have both been injured for multiple months, though it’s worth the gamble as it’s the last game of the season. Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will start in the full-back positions.
Casemiro now moves back into a more comfortable midfield role, though against this City team, it’s going to be a tough afternoon. Kobbie Mainoo sits in alongside the Brazilian here, with Bruno Fernandes completing the midfield trio.
Rasmus Hojlund deserves the start at striker. The Dane has great support from Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford on the wings, so let’s hope they can provide the service and help this Red Devils side win the cup.
