Our predicted MUFC XI for the Manchester derby vs Man City is now in…
Manchester United have a more positive vibe about them over the last couple of months. Sure, the results may not have been all that convincing but in fits and spurts, the performances have vastly improved.
Against Manchester City this weekend, we’ll get to see exactly how far these lads have come under Ralf Rangnick. I’m particularly intrigued to see how we set up, given in recent years, we’ve been more than willing to concede large portions of possession to our noisy neighbours.
Weirdly, we’ve performed better away from home against City due to our counter-attacking style. Let’s hope that trend continues this weekend in a game that’s going to be incredibly tough.
Ahead of that match this Sunday, let’s give you a full rundown of the team we think Rangnick is looking likely to select.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Man City in full here:

In goal, David de Gea obviously starts in a game during which he’s going to be extremely busy.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will come into the side in this one. I believe Rangnick will want a defensive-minded full-back on that right-hand side here. Luke Shaw starts off the left, with the now usual back two of Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire playing.
Scott McTominay is back in training and looking likely to come straight back into it. We’re certainly going to need his energy and effort levels. Both Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes have been playing well of late. They deserve the start here.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s form has been mediocre recently but we don’t really have any other enticing options so he will be included in the team from the get-go. I’ve gone for Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga on the wings as given his current form, Marcus Rashford has to be considered a liability.
