MUFC play yet another derby vs Man City this weekend, with our predicted team news now in…
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer manages Manchester United in another huge Manchester derby tomorrow.
The Red Devils take on Pep Guardiola’s side at a bad time, with Raphael Varane sidelined for this one. Recently, we’ve switched to a back five, but due to us being thin in the centre-back position, I don’t think we’re going to see that tactic employed here.
In terms of good news, United tend to do pretty well against City. They’ve actually had the upper hand in that fixture this season.
Anyway, without further ado, let’s get right into the all-important team news.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Man City in full here:

David de Gea starts in between the sticks as per usual.
In terms of the back four, I’d love to start Eric Bailly. However, he played his first game in months on Tuesday and I wouldn’t fancy him to do well in a back-to-back this quickly. With that in mind, the defence has a similar feel to it. Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all start.
In midfield, Solskjaer will go back to his old faithful trio of Fred, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes. A Paul Pogba suspension pretty much guarantees that.
The front three looks a little different. I genuinely believe United have to find a way to get Edinson Cavani into this side, so let’s play him on the wing and let him work his socks off as per usual. Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line with Marcus Rashford playing off the left-wing.
We should have ample quality on the bench if needed, but let’s hope the starting line-up can get the job done.
