Our predicted MUFC XI for the Carabao Cup final vs Newcastle United is now in…
Well, here we are. The big one is upon us, with Manchester United playing in a Wembley showpiece for the first time in years.
Erik ten Hag has an excellent chance to deliver his first trophy for the Old Trafford club since moving to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer.
Make no mistake about it, I’m super excited for this one. The Red Devils are playing some lovely football right now, though Marcus Rashford’s availability does remain up in the air. His absence could make things harder.
After much deliberation, our predicted line-up for this one is in. Sadly, we expect Rashy to miss out, which is a bitter blow. That said, I still feel confident in the lads that are available.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Newcastle United in full here:

David de Gea will likely have a busy afternoon against a Newcastle front line that are clicking on all fronts right now. He’ll have to be at his best.
Diogo Dalot gets the nod at right-back here, with Luke Shaw playing over on the left-hand side of defence. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane were sublime in midweek. Both start again here.
Casemiro was another who absolutely played a blinder against Barca, with the Brazilian in excellent form. Fred is another who played outrageously good against the Catalan giants. He’s worthy of his place in this XI, with Bruno Fernandes starting in the number ten slot.
Wout Weghorst has worked his socks off since making the move to Manchester. We’re going to need more of that work ethic here. To his right and left respectively are Antony and Jadon Sancho. Hopefully, these lads have a good game!
