Our predicted MUFC XI for a pretty significant FA Cup fourth round game vs Newport County is now in.
Manchester United’s only realistic chance at silverware this season is in the FA Cup. The Red Devils will be looking to go on a deep run in this competition, particularly after the Old Trafford side lost in last season’s final.
Newport County and a visit to Rodney Parade is in the offing, which is a very winnable tie for the Red Devils here. The League Two club will be looking to upset the applecart here, and if United lose, it would be a real giant killing. The pressure would also ramp up on the boss.
Whatever side the gaffer opts for here should have more than enough quality to get the job done, though it is intriguing to see whether Ten Hag will go for youth or experience. Most likely a mixture of the two.

It has been confirmed already. Altay Bayindir will make his Red Devils debut here. We’ve all been keen to see the Turk in action and now is our chance.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts at right-back here, with the Englishman still the first choice selection in that area of the field. Luke Shaw makes a long-awaited comeback from injury in the left-back position. Lisandro Martinez is another who’ll be looking to build up his fitness following his own issue, with Raphael Varane partnering the Argentine.
Kobbie Mainoo has been in supreme form so he was always going to play here, with Christian Eriksen adding some genuine midfield quality to the table. Bruno Fernandes starts and captain’s the side.
Rasmus Hojlund will be feeling good about his own game right now, while another goal here would keep the positive momentum flowing. To his right, he’ll see Amad and over on the left, Alejandro Garnacho gets the nod.
