Our predicted MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Nottingham Forest is now in.
Manchester United Football Club had a bad night on Thursday, which was gutting as it all looked so good for the first hour. Anyway, the Red Devils have no time to lick their wounds. They get right back to it against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Whatever the circumstances, these are the type of matches that United simply have to win. No ifs, buts or maybes. Three points here is an absolute must.
Erik ten Hag’s squad has been decimated by injuries to key players over the last week or so, making it tough to work out what sort of side he’d opt for. Anyway, we’ve drafted up a likely line-up, so let’s give you the full rundown.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Nottingham Forest in full here:
David de Gea obviously starts in goal. This has been an easy position to pick this term due to the quality of the back-ups currently at the club. Unfortunately, they’re just not up to scratch right now.
At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was pretty good in midweek. Displacing him from the starting line-up would feel harsh. Over on the left-hand side of defence, Tyrell Malacia gets the nod. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will reunite at the heart of defence in the wake of recent injuries.
Casemiro is back and available following his suspension. United are a much better side with him in it. He’ll play alongside Brazil compatriot, Fred, with Bruno Fernandes reverting to the #10 role.
Anthony Martial looked sharp during his hour of action in midweek, with Ten Hag keep to keep that positive momentum flowing. He deserves the minutes. To his right and left respectively, both Antony and Jadon Sancho continue.
