Our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Omonia is now in…

Manchester United Football Club were jolted right back down to earth over the weekend, with the Red Devils losing 6-3 to fierce rivals, Manchester City. More than anything, it shows that Erik ten Hag is going to need time to fully implement his style.

In the short term, attentions turn towards the Europa League. With one win and one loss in the competition so far, United will have to get a win here to put themselves firmly in contention to make it out of the group.

Omonia FC is the next test – a Cypriot side looking to upset the applecart. No doubt their fans will get behind them in this one, making it a relatively difficult contest.

Anyway, the team news is now in, with Ten Hag set to ring the changes here in order to give some minutes to his fringe players.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Omonia here:

Tom Heaton deserves the chance to impress, so throw him into it here and see what he’s got to offer.

The back four will look very different. Luke Shaw looks like a certainty to start in this one over in the left-back slot, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka should play over on the right. Lisandro Martinez keeps his place in the team, while Victor Lindelof comes in for the injured Raphael Varane.

Fred and Casemiro have largely been rooted to the bench this season. Both looked decent against City when they came on, so give them an opportunity here. Bruno Fernandes starts, and captains, United.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been deemed surplus to requirements when the January transfer window rolls around, but there’s a good chance he starts here. To his right and left respectively is Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.

  1. We hope that Man.Utd keep watching and learning from other teams while they are not playing as well.
Look at how Man.City play with such confidence from each and every player. They do not make too many mistakes. Always passing the ball very accurately and being alert. They keep holding possession of the ball and keep in scoring more and more. What a great team that Man.Utd should try to learn their tactics and overall picture.
