Our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Rangers is now in.

Manchester United lost their first pre-season game, though it was more about the fitness levels than the result. A young Reds team were beaten late by Rosenborg, losing 1-0.

Some of the lads can be pleased with their performances in that match. Toby Collyer, for example, looked right at home in midfield. For the most part, though, the younger lads struggled. This time around, they’ll be given some extra help with a couple more senior faces returning. A major signing has also been made since the last match.

Rangers are the next opponent up in Scotland, with the Red Devils taking on the SPL side in Edinburgh.

Ahead of that match, let’s give you the full rundown of our predicted XI.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Rangers in full here:

Elyh Harrison was not involved last time out to my surprise. This feels like an excellent opportunity to see the 18-year-old in action.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts at right-back here, with Harry Amass getting the nod over on the left-hand side. Leny Yoro could make his pre-season debut here, alongside the vastly experienced Harry Maguire.

The aforementioned Collyer is a super prospect and I’d love to see more of him here. He will start alongside Scott McTominay. Mason Mount completes the midfield trio.

Joe Hugill was given no service whatsoever last time out, so let’s see how he fares here. Ethan Williams plays off the right, with Hannibal starting over on the left.

As per usual, expect a completely different team in the second half.
