Our predicted MUFC XI for the mid-season tour game against Real Betis is now in.
Manchester United play their second and final mid-season tour of Spain match tomorrow evening, with the Red Devils looking to build up those all-important fitness levels.
Word on the street is that Erik ten Hag would like a third friendly match before the serious stuff starts, though for now, it’s this match against Betis he’ll have to focus on.
The 4-2 defeat to Cadiz earlier in the week wasn’t ideal, though the result wasn’t really the most important thing. For many, it was about getting some much-needed minutes in the tank.
No doubt the same thought process will be on display here, with Ten Hag looking to give some important players some game-time here. Anyway, let’s get right into it.
Check out our predicted MUFC XI for the game vs Real Betis here:

Martin Dubravka will get another chance to prove his worth to Ten Hag here, with the on-loan Newcastle man hoping to put in a performance that’ll make the gaffer think twice about David de Gea’s starting berth.
The back four will remain the same as it was for the Cadiz match. Both Brandon Williams and Aaron Wan-Bissaka need minutes for different reasons. The latter may not be here for too much longer. Teden Mengi partners Victor Lindelof at the heart of the back four.
Zidane Iqbal and Charlie Savage partnered each other wonderfully well during pre-season tour. I’m excited to see how these guys get on a few months further down the line with a little more experience under their belt. Donny van de Beek will start in that number ten position.
Anthony Martial leads the line as per usual, with the Frenchman hoping to put those early season injury issues firmly in the rearview. To his right and left respectively is Anthony Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho.
This is a strong team, though don’t rule out Betis, who are a top-tier side within their own right. This will not be an easy game.
